Universal Technical Institute Partners with KTM North America to Enhance Technician Training Program at Motorcycle Mechanics Institute
KTM to provide state-of-the-industry motorcycles, training aids, tools and more to prepare students for successful careers in the motorcycle industry

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Aug. 27, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Universal Technical Institute (NYSE: UTI), a leading provider of post-secondary education for students seeking careers as professional automotive, diesel, collision repair, motorcycle and marine technicians, announced today it has partnered with KTM North America, Inc., a leading motorcycle manufacturer, to enhance the Motorcycle Technician Specialist training program at its Motorcycle Mechanics Institute (MMI) campus in Phoenix, Az.

Through this new partnership, KTM will supply the campus with motorcycles, training aids, diagnostic equipment and tools, as well as instructor training to provide students with the opportunity to train on the company's most advanced motorcycles and technologies during the 36-week Motorcycle Technician Prerequisite program at MMI-Phoenix. The Prerequisite combined with electives teach students how to diagnose, service and repair motorcycles and all-terrain vehicles, preparing them for in-demand careers in the motorcycle industry. The KTM partnership will begin in late 2015 with the possibility of expansion to MMI-Orlando in the future.

MMI-Orlando graduate Carlos Rivera is the head technician for Ryan Dungey, part of Red Bull Factory KTM. Dungey's team won the 2015 Supercross and, most recently, the 2015 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross 450MX Championship. The company has 354 dealers throughout the United States.
