SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., March 4, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- Universal Technical Institute, Inc. (NYSE: UTI), today announced that Christopher Kevane has joined the company as senior vice president, chief legal officer.
Kevane will have oversight of all UTI's legal, compliance and regulatory functions. As the newest member of the senior leadership team, he will help guide the company's work to develop new organic and inorganic growth opportunities, optimize its real estate footprint and transform the student experience. He will report to Jerome Grant, chief executive officer.

Kevane has more than 20 years of legal experience, with expertise in legal strategy, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, regulatory compliance and risk management. For nearly a decade, he served as senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary for Rural Metro Corporation, a leading national provider of first responder services. He held a similar leadership role with Nuverra Environmental Solutions, Inc., one of the largest environmental solutions companies in the oil industry. Most recently, he was Chief Legal Officer for Legal+Risk Solutions, LLC, where he advised clients' executive management and boards of directors on strategic initiatives. Kevane started his career in Squire Patton Boggs's U.S. Corporate, Finance & Securities Group.
He earned a Juris Doctor and a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Arizona State University. Kevane has been named Arizona's "Large Company In-House Counsel of the Year" by the Association of Corporate Counsels.
